Power BI automation without a developer

Most reporting time is spent repeating the same five steps. Automation is about writing those steps down once and letting a schedule run them.

How GridMind automations run

In the workspace you create an automation, choose an action and a schedule, and save. The schedule runs server-side against your last saved workbook, stores the result in a run history, and shows the next run time.

Live Power BI refresh is the one step that stays interactive: open the workspace and press Refresh so the request is made with your own credentials.

  • Actions: AI summary, dashboard rebuild, tidy sheet, movement alert, Power BI refresh reminder
  • Schedules: hourly, daily, weekly, monthly
  • Every run stores its status and output so you can audit what happened

Design rules that keep automations trustworthy

  • One automation, one purpose — do not bundle a cleanup and an alert together
  • Alerts need a threshold, not a feeling: state the percentage or absolute change
  • Check the run history weekly for the first month
  • Keep the saved sheet shaped consistently or the output drifts

Frequently asked questions

How often can automations run?

Hourly, daily, weekly or monthly. Each automation shows its next scheduled run and the result of the last one.

Do automations refresh my Power BI data automatically?

No. Live refresh uses your credentials interactively in the workspace. Scheduled automations run on your most recently saved sheet.
